FAQs

When do we meet?

I work Monday to Friday. I can accommodate morning, daytime and evening sessions.

How do you work?

I work online and face-to-face.

Where do you practice?

I work from my home in Delgany, Co. Wicklow in a purpose-built, bright light-filled space in my garden. Transport links include the DART, bus services and easy access to the N11 andM50.

What happens in the first session?

In conjoint sessions, with your partner, I mostly like to meet with you both together first and then I invite you both to share an individual hourly session with me before returning to the conjoint sessions with your partner.

The conjoint couple sessions are usually 1.5 hours long as this time is necessary to explore together.

How many sessions will we need?

It very much depends on a lot of different factors. For example; the psychological readiness for the work, the emotional intelligence, life events, traumas, the goals and whether they are realistic, levels of conflict or firefighting with lifestyle etc, to name a few.

What I aim to do, depending on what and who comes into the room...is aim for 6 sessions and then do a review.

Some couples need one session and some attend for longer periods. As a psychotherapist, I trust the process to unfold. I can be very challenging when needed but I am also gentle when needed too. There needs to be balance.

What are your fees?

The therapeutic hour is a 50 min session in order to allow for scheduling etc at the end.

For 2023 - My fee is €100 per hour for a couples session and €150 for a conjoint 1.5 hour session.

My fee for an individual session is 80 per hour.

Will my private health insurance cover our sessions?

If you have private health insurance consult with your health insurance company, you can find out what percentage they cover depending on your package. I am accredited with the IAHIP - Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapists.

I am happy to issue receipts at the end of each session when requested.
